VIOLENCE INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION (V.I.P.)
Working in collaboration with schools and community groups, our Advocates meet with students to offer support, education and referrals to community resources.
Crisis Intervention
Always call 911 in an emergency. Rivers of Hope offers a crisis phone line seven days a week, 24 hours a day. For assistance or general information, call our Crisis Line.
Individual Advocacy
Advocates meet with students who are victims of, or witness to violence in their homes and personal relationships. They provide support and education on how to identify the unhealthy aspects of their relationships and how to break the cycle of violence in their lives.
Support Groups
Advocates facilitate educational support groups focused on the skills needed to prevent violence. The topics include self esteem, coping skills, media, anger, healthy relationships, body image, and trust.
V.I.P program services are available to schools, businesses and community groups.
