Rivers of Hope has served communities in Sherburne and Wright as well as portions of adjoining counties since 1989. Our focus is domestic violence, and our services are provided at no cost to individuals, schools and communities. Emotional Violence is using words to humiliate or intimidate a person.. Physical Violence is hurting a person's body or the things a person cares about. Sexual violence is forced or coerced sexual touching. Any sexual contact between an adult and a child is sexual violence. |

Are you aware that . . . One out of three women will experience some kind of domestic abuse in their lifetime. Women and their children represent 95% of the victims of domestic abuse. Abusers believe they have the right to control their victims. 25% of all crime is female partner abuse. |
